Czech Republic JW8+ Strike Gold at World Rowing Junior Championships

For the third year running the Czech Republic Junior Women’s 8 have struck gold at The World Rowing Junior Championships in their WinTech Racing Eight.

This year they defended their title beating both the USA and Romania in a time of 6:27. Earlier in the week during their test race they broke the course record in an incredible 6:13!

The Czech Junior Men’s and Women’s Coxed Four also both raced in WinTech Racing boats both making the A final as did Junior Men’s Single from Estonia making the D Final. Congratulations to all athletes and coaches!

The 2019 World Rowing Junior Championships take place in Tokyo where it will act as a test event for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
