Women's Head of the River 2025
Team WinTech and King enjoyed a successful day at the 2025 Women’s Head of the River, recording two Pennant wins and a host of representation across various boat classes. In pristine conditions and soaring temperatures that topped out at 17c, hundreds of women took to the Thames to fight it out over the reverse Championship Course. As always, we were out in force, supporting dozens of clubs.
Our premier results came in the Provincial Club and Small Club Pennants, where we took victories. Nottingham Rowing Club (King), long-term supporters of Oarsport, won the Provincial Club category (awarded to the fastest non-Thames-based crew) ahead of the City of Cambridge and the City of Bristol.

In the small club Pennant, Derby Rowing Club took the top prize, defeating Llandaff Rowing Club and Dart Totnes Amateur Rowing Club amongst others.

We were also third in the Beginner Academic Pennant riding with Nottingham University Boat Club, who lost out to Edinburgh University and St Paul’s Girl’s School Boat Club.
With the Women’s Head of the River now complete for 2025, attention will turn to the remaining major events before the Easter break. The Men’s Head of the River Race takes place in just under two weeks before the Schools’ Head of the River on Tuesday, March 25th, and the Oarsport Junior Sculling Head the following day. Team WinTech and King will be there to support athletes throughout, and we look forward to some fantastic results.
