The Oarsport Junior Sculling Head 2025

Team WinTech collected more medals than any other brand at the 2025 Oarsport Junior Sculling Head in a fantastic showing to end the winter head racing season. On a beautiful day that seemed to evidence the start of springtime, WinTech collected 13 medals including 5 golds across the various sculling classes whilst supporting a range of clubs.

Our friends at the Windsor Boys School had yet another stunning day at Dorney Lake, picking up no fewer than five medals, including three golds. Their top boat won the open junior 18 quads (WinTech Cobra SE), finishing some 20 seconds clear of Great Marlow School in silver and Shiplake College in bronze. They also won the open junior 16 quads (WinTech International) and open junior 15 octuples (WinTech International), ahead of Walbrook Rowing Club and Hampton School, respectively.

The open junior 18 victory followed the Windsor Boys’ commanding victory on the Tideway at the Schools’ Head of the River the day before and firmly cements Mark Wilkinson’s programme as the squad to beat heading into the summer racing.

We collected four silver medals in total, including in the open junior 17 quads with the Windsor Boys School (WinTech International) and the open junior 14 quads with Henley Rowing Club (WinTech International).

Our four bronze medals occurred in the open junior 16 quads whilst riding with Marlow Rowing Club (WinTech International), in the women’s junior 16 quads with Headington School (WinTech International), in the open junior 15 octuples via Hampton School (WinTech International) and in the open junior 14 octuples alongside the Windsor Boys School (WinTech International).

With the head racing season complete, crews will now turn their attentions to the long Easter break and the chance to refine line-ups and collect extra speed. The next time a lot of these boats will meet will likely be at various regional regattas or perhaps the Junior Sculling Regatta in early May, which is also hosted at Dorney Lake. At WinTech, we look forward to supporting our crews on their journey to summer silverware and cannot wait to enjoy some superb side-by-side racing.
