Henley Royal Regatta 2025

Team WinTech and King supported the Windsor Boys School in winning The Fawley Challenge Cup for the second year in a row and for the third time in four years at the 2025 Henley Royal Regatta. Their triumph wrapped up a fantastic week for our crews at this year’s Regatta, in which we placed another boat into the semifinals and had six clubs racing in our shells in quarterfinals.

The Windsor Boys’ School, racing in a WinTech Cobra SE FLX, came into the event as hot favourites, having already secured the boys’ championship quad title at the Schools’ Head of the River and National Schools’ Regatta. The way in which they won The Fawley Challenge Cup, though, was nothing short of outstanding, dispatching various gifted junior quads with tenacity and skill.

Mark Wilkinson, Director of Rowing at the Windsor Boys’ School, was delighted with their efforts. “The quad performed exceptionally well,” he said. “What a season they have had, winning every major event, including The Head of The Charles, Head of the Heineken, Schools' Head of the River Race, Oarsport Junior Sculling Head, National Schools' Regatta and junior quads at both the Metropolitan and Marlow Regattas.”

Wilkinson went on to comment on the crew’s capacity for improvement. “To achieve the official ‘quadruple’ and to have such an outstanding season culminating in winning The Fawley Challenge Cup is testament to just how hard they have worked to earn the start line and be the standard they are. Joe Wellington (the only athlete to ever win championship boys’ quads three times at the National Schools’ Regatta) and Ruben Taylor, who were both part of the 2024 Henley Royal Regatta crew that won, were true leaders, while Isaac Thornton and Bailey Taylor drove themselves to be the right standard to get into the boat. For U19s to scull that well, and to look so cohesive, is impressive at any level, and I am immensely proud of them all.”

With the U19 World Rowing Championships and the Coupe de la Jeunesse coming up for Great Britain this summer, we are excited to see how these incredibly talented athletes fare on the international stage.

Elsewhere, Maidenhead Rowing Club’s ‘A’ crew made the Saturday of The Diamond Jubilee Challenge Cup whilst racing in a WinTech Cobra shell. Their run came to an end at the hands of Marlow Rowing Club, who made the final of this Trophy for the second year in a row.

In 2025, we had a wide range of clubs, schools, and universities using our boats; names like Oundle School, Canford School, Henley Rowing Club, Nottingham Rowing Club, Derby Rowing Club, City of Bristol, and Lea Rowing Club all hailed from the UK, while our increasing American presence was represented via Norcal Crew, Riverfront Recapture, and Belen Jesuit Prep School.

With Henley Royal Regatta over for another year, we look forward to supporting crews at both Henley Masters Regatta and the British Rowing Junior and Club Championships during July.
